Influences
Audrey is influenced by the beauty of nature. In her art work she tries to preserve this beauty before it is destroyed by energy and commercial development. She feels that there is something in human nature that needs to relax and recharge in nature. When that is gone, we will have to find other means in which to recharge ourselves. Art may be one of these means to de-stress. Henri Matisse, Paul Gauguin, Vincent Van Gogh and Monet inspire Audrey.
Philosophy
Blending realistic and abstract painting styles with her Art Therapy background, Audrey tries to evoke a pleasurable emotional response through color, shape, value, texture and line. She is concerned with creating works of beauty that emulate the beauty of the world around us.
Interesting Fact:
Audrey loves to read, dance, teach and travel as well as visit museums and try out new restaurants. She is currently involved with keeping a sketchbook journal. She teaches watercolor and acrylic painting as well as drawing.
