Philosophy

Cheryl enjoys working with bright and bold colors to come up with remarkable pieces inspired by her love of nature. Cheryl’s art has evolved from merely sewing with pre-made and pre-printed fabric to creating her own fabric designs using the stunning art of batiking, shibori and dyeing with natural and commercial grade dyes. Cheryl’s Art is an expression of her energy and she strives to always stay true to herself and be free while creating. She loves that art can be healing and is honored whenever it brings that comfort to people she meets. She loves creating art that people feel lifted up by. It’s so rewarding to her when people come by her studio and get inspired by her vivid work. She has been inspired by the famous Jean-Michel Basquiat and in his words to always stay true to your wild self and be free.
