2nd Annual Workhouse Arts Gala
On Saturday, October 20, 2012 the Workhouse Arts Center will host the 2nd Annual Workhouse Arts Gala. The evening will feature a gourmet dinner and dancing to the Johnny Artis Band
Dr. Alan G. Merten, President Emeritus of George Mason University, is the Honorary Chairman of the event.
Paul Berry, former ABC-7 (WJLA-TV) personality, will be the Master of Ceremonies.
Supervisor Gerry Hyland (Mount Vernon District) will be awarded the Founders Award for his steadfast support of the Lorton Arts Foundation and the Workhouse Arts Center.
The elegant evening includes a cocktail reception, a specially chosen dinner, dessert and dancing; as well as a live auction featuring a NASCAR experience hosted by a Sprint Cup team owner and a one-year E-Z Pass for the I-495 Hot Lanes. The silent auction will feature art work produced at the Workhouse and other unique and special gifts.
