The Workhouse is pleased to present an exhibit of Gail and Robert’s Raku and Smoke-fired Sculptures and Vessels. This exhibit is being presented in conjunction with their Raku Workshop on October 20-21.

Robert Piepenburg has been a recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship and several Michigan Council for the Arts Creative Artist Grants. His works are in many private and public collections including the Smithsonian in Washington, DC. His previous two books Treasures of the Creative Spirit and The Spirit of Ceramic Design won a total of five book awards in 2009.
 
Gail Piepenburg is a renowned artist whose artwork resonates with spirit-charging life energy.  Gail's works appear in many of the contemporary books on ceramics and her art works have won her many awards.  More formidably, her professional artistic experiences have infused her being with profound meaning and insight.  As an enthusiastic teacher committed to the emergence of human growth potentials, she is an extraordinarily gifted workshop leader.
