Background

Marni Maree is originally from Philadelphia, PA where she went to Moore College of Art and Design. Marni is mainly a watercolor artist who also paints with oils and mixed media. She has a studio at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton as well as a studio in her home in Springfield. Marni has earned numerous awards for her watercolors. She is a member of the Potomac Valley Watercolorists, Springfield Art Guild, and Virginia Watercolor Society.

Marni loves to paint, teach and travel and she has led many international travel workshops in France, Italy and New Zealand (in March 2022) as well as Artist Residencies in France and Brazil. She has taught locally at the Workhouse, in her home studio, Green Spring Gardens, Goodwin House and various other workshops. When the Pandemic hit, Marni immediately pivoted to teaching on Zoom. This has been wonderful and she will continue to teach this way even after it is safe to teach in person again. Her students can attend from all over the world now.
