W-10: "TAKE A LEAP...into abstraction" by Mary Kane

Mary Kane invites the viewers to see the artist's progression from expressing the attack on the towers in 2001, to diving into her unconscious and enjoying the vibrations of color against color. Instead of the darkness of 9/11, she is all about "CREATING LIFE". Works in this show are the remains or selections from many different series.

She has won many awards from prominent jurors in Philadelphia. Her work was accepted three times into the Art of the State. One art critic described her work as “a symphony of colors rhythms, intervals and vibrations…as if we were seeing music…One must take time to listen.” One can feel her pleasure in layering color on color, letting it drip...scratching into the paint, surprising herself with the vibrations of complementary colors or happy accidents.
