W-6: “Traveling with a Brush -- "there and then" -- "here and now"” by Gwendolyn Bragg
At least once a year for more than twenty-five years Gwendolyn Bragg has led painting group trips for her students. They have been to a wide variety of destinations on four continents, but the majority have been to Mediterranean countries. These trips have offered her students (and herself) opportunities for onsite plein aire painting as well as for making sketches and photographs to paint from after their return home. That's why this exhibit is called "Traveling with a Brush -There and Then -- Here and Now”. All of the paintings were created either onsite during one of the trips or in her studio using images she captured during one of them. Gwendolyn hopes you enjoy seeing them as much as she enjoyed painting them.
