Phalan's love of travel is reflected in the paintings exhibited in this show. The majority are from foreign travels, but wanderings closer to home are represented in the exhibit as well. A peek-a-boo owl from Fairfax hangs alongside a Texas Painted Bunting. Seascapes from far away Brazil are comfortable alongside New Zealand landscapes. Vibrant color and unmistakable energy are key elements in these works.
