  • McGuireWoods Gallery, W-16 2nd Floor 9518 Workhouse Way Lorton United States (map)

Join us for an evening of inspiration with Workhouse Board member and decorated Veteran, Colonel Gregory Gadson (Ret.) as he speaks about his recently released book, "Finding Waypoints: A Warrior’s Journey Toward Peace and Purpose," which details his courageous comeback following the loss of both of his legs in an IED attack in Iraq. Colonel Gadson and co-author Terese Schlachter will be present for the talk and book signing.

Colonel Gadson is a long-time Workhouse Arts Foundation Board member who was instrumental in the founding of the Workhouse Military in the Arts Initiative (WMAI).

At this evening’s event, our WMAI Artist in Residence will display samples of her work and share information about our art therapy for veterans. Light refreshments will be served, and a cash bar will be available.

Program Schedule:
6:30-7pm - Reception with the authors
7-8pm Author talk and audience Q&A

Books will be available onsite, for a donation to the Workhouse.
