Background

Ching is an inaugural studio artist and instructor at the Workhouse Arts Center. She also shares her creativity with K-8 students as the Art Teacher at Saint Andrew the Apostle Catholic School in Clifton, Virginia. Ching is in her final year of attaining a Master of Arts in Teaching Art Education at George Mason University. Ching’s artwork has been exhibited throughout the District, Maryland and Virginia.

Artistic Philosophy

“Creating a work of beauty from a blank canvas lifts the spirit and transcends the mind.” Ching shares awestruck moments through each painting. Her visceral connection to the natural landscape is a continuous source of inspiration, hope and renewal. Ching’s evolving style is a fusion of impressionism and abstract expressionism. The Fairfax Station, Va., artist adds textural elements with sgraffito, impasto, drips, spatter, collage, and iridescent and metallic paints.
