W-5: “I Spy” by Denise Shamoun Phalan
Phalan is an observer...in this body of work, there are personal observations of the landscape, of "observers" doing their thing, and windows-which direct the viewer to observe more robustly, what Phalan wants them to see. Phalan's dynamic use of color gives her quiet observations of vitality and spirit that need to be seen.
