Caroline Blanco

Assistant General Counsel, National Science Foundation (NSF) where she oversees litigation involving NSF and provides counsel on environmental and cultural property law.  Previously, served as a trial attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice’s Environment and Natural Resources Division, specializing in historic preservation and cultural property law.  Extensive speaking engagements and publications related to historic preservation and cultural property law.  Recipient of several NSF, and U.S. Department of Justice awards.  Caroline has served as an adjunct professor at American University’s Washington College of Law where she has taught cultural property law.  Prior to becoming an attorney, Caroline was trained as a classical pianist and opera singer.  She occasionally teaches piano and voice to local students.
