Workhouse Arts Center is proud to present the 9th Annual Glass National, an exhibition highlighting the depth and breadth of contemporary functional and sculptural glass artworks being created throughout the country. This year's juror, Kristina Logan, reviewed over 80 artworks and selected 34 which incorporate a combination of a contemporary spirit and technical mastery of the material. Glass National is a unique opportunity to view and experience a variety of styles and techniques encompassing the glass artwork field today.

Juror’s Statement
It was an honor and exciting to jury the 9th Annual Workhouse Glass National Exhibition.
As a studio artist working primarily in glass, I have a deep appreciation for this material and how it can be used as a form of expression. I was delighted to see the breadth of work in this year’s applicants. It was a pleasure to spend time with the submitted pieces and a difficult process to make final selections that would inevitably exclude some very accomplished work.
My goal was to focus on assembling a collection of work that would highlight glass as an artistic material and leave the viewer with a sense of appreciation for not only each individual piece but also for the collection as a whole.
I am very proud of all the artists who are represented in this special collection at the Workhouse.
-Kristina Logan, November 2023
