Arches Gallery Artists
Juried Artist Program
With more than 60 artists juried into the Artist Program, it is well established at the Workhouse. About 50 artists occupy studios at the Workhouse Arts Center and approximately 10 display their work at the Arches Gallery.
While Arches Gallery Artists don’t have a studio at the Workhouse, they work collectively to maintain a gallery space in W-9 for a $45 monthly fee. Artists benefit from being part of a collaborative and learning environment in the greater metropolitan Washington region. Shared values of artists in the program include:
Creatively growing within a community of artists
Continuing to learn the business of art
Producing sales of artwork
Gaining professional visibility
All artists in the program are considered Workhouse Artists.
