Books by Oh Seoung Eu

Immerse yourself in the beauty of Minhwa, an exploration of the essence of Korea’s beauty, vibrant colors, flora and fauna, and timeless narratives. Minhwa dates to the 17th to 19th centuries, the name translates to "painting of the people" or "popular painting" reflecting the class status of many of the artists, who did not sign their work. The art was intended to reflect daily life and be present in the daily lives of the people to bring joy, humor, luck, and brightness to ordinary people. Blowing in the Wind features art by 70+ painters, 14 of them residing in Greater Washington, and the remaining living and working in Korea. This is the association’s premier exhibition in the area, curated by local artist, Soon Spitzer.
