Workhouse Arts Center is proud to present the Annual Congressional Art Competition, which features the artwork of high school students from within the 11th Congressional District of Virginia. The Annual Congressional Art Competition provides an opportunity for Members of Congress to encourage and recognize the artistic talents of their young constituents. Over 650,000 high school students have participated in the nationwide competition. One young artist from this exhibition will have their work displayed in the US Capitol for one year. Congressman Gerald E. Connolly’s Annual Congressional Art Competition is open to all high school students who reside in Virginia’s 11th Congressional District, including public, private, and home-schooled students.
