W-6: “Water, Water Everywhere!” by Gwendolyn Bragg

“If there is magic on this planet, it is contained in water.” --- Loren Eiseley

It is no coincidence that water is an almost universal symbol of life. We cannot live without it. More than half the average human body is water. Gwendolyn Bragg paints with it as a watercolorist, and for many years she has found herself drawn to it not only as a medium but as a subject. From ocean shores to tidal pools and rivers to tiny streams, the water teems with ever-changing life and movement. Gwendolyn hopes these paintings express her pleasure in the beauty of water and appreciation for the life it supports and symbolizes.
