Pieces of Us by HKS181
Muse Gallery, W-16 1st Floor
On View: November 9 - January 12, 2025
Reception: December 14, 6 - 8 PM
This thought-provoking collection of works explores the essential elements of growth and life that influence our existence. Can we trigger a memory through sight, evoke a scent, or perceive a taste through vision? The comparison of birds building nests to hold emotions and memories reminds us of our ability for emotional connection. The use of decaying wood in the pieces symbolizes the passage of time, encouraging us to reflect on its significance. The incorporation of birdhouses prompts us to consider what we gather and incorporate into our lives to create spaces that we feel connected enough to call home.
