Immersive painting by Rodrigo Pradel
Muse Gallery, W-16 1st Floor
On View: August 21 - October 30, 2024
Reception: October 12, 6 - 8 PM

Rodrigo Pradel explores the profound connection between ancestors and our modern world. He transformed Workhouse Art Center's Muse Gallery with full-scale murals, studded with oil paintings on canvas. This immersive exhibition is a mesmerizing blend of surrealism and realism, manifesting in contemporary urban and natural settings.

Each piece serves as a visual narrative, bridging the wisdom of ancestors with the realities of today, and inviting viewers to reflect on the timeless messages and spiritual guidance these sacred envoys bring to humanity.

Rodrigo is a painter, illustrator, and muralist born in Chile, raised in Canada, and currently based in Northern Virginia. He has created murals that transcend time and trend throughout the DMV in both public and private settings. His work most often explores the visionary worlds and entities of altered states of consciousness, fantasy, and beyond.
