Background
Terry Anstrom started painting watercolors in 2008 and is recognized for her work in the Potomac Valley Watercolorists, Virginia Watercolor Society (signature member), Springfield Art Guild, and as an Associate member of the American Watercolor Society.
Artistic Philosophy
Terry, as a watercolorist, is known for her florals with a Georgia O’Keeffe style but adds delicate detail and vivid color. Her artistic expression is also noted in her landscapes of Italy showing linear perspective giving the illusion of depth and and space to her paintings. Terry’s background in mathematics captures the realistic detailed images. Her creative side explores the results of pouring paint, or splattering or salting showing contrast and texture in her paintings.
