Second Saturday: Fall Festival

This month’s Second Saturday celebrates the exuberance and beauty of the fall season. Join us for an action-packed evening with a variety of fall festivities for children and adults. From pumpkin painting and trick or treating to autumn art classes and exhibition receptions, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. As always, a vast collection of hand-crafted artwork will be on display to view and purchase, including exhibits from our monthly featured artists.

SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES

  • 5-6 PM, Workhouse Campus Tour, Lucy Burns Museum.
    Before the Second Saturday festivities take a guided tour of the campus ($10 per person, $5 for 12 and under).

  • 6-9 PM, Trick or Treating, All Campus Buildings on the Quad
    Kids, dress up for Halloween and walk door-to-door in search of sweet treats.

  • 7:15 Halloween Costume Contest, Rizer Pavilion on the Quad
    Join us on the stage under the Rizer Pavilion tent and show us what you got! The audience will vote for their favorite costume.

  • 6-8 PM, Exhibition Reception, Vulcan Gallery, Building 16
    Sacred Envoys | Amazon to Man Artist Rodrigo Pradel discusses his work and creative process.

  • 6-8 PM, Pumpkin Painting and Games, Campus Quad
    Pick a pumpkin to paint and enjoy a variety of games
    ($5 per pumpkin).

  • 6-9 PM, Make & Take, Building 10
    Make a pumpkin necklace or zipper pull, painted piece ($15).

  • 6-9 PM, Bucket Golf, Campus Quad
    A fun twist to the classic game of mini golf! Rent balls and clubs at the Gift Shop in Building 16 (9 Holes, $5 per person/club).

  • 6:30-8:30 PM, Create and Sip: Autumm Leaves in Watercolor Building 6. Sign up Now- Few Spots Left!
    Create portraits of the vibrant, soon-to-be-gone autumn leaves and take home your framed masterpiece! ($40).

  • 7 PM, Haunt: Twisted Tales of Terror, Rizer Pavillion

In addition to the above activities, we are holding a special Dracula Blood Drive in front of Building 16 from 4-8 PM. Sign up required at https://bit.ly/WAC1012
