Reimagine the Art of PRP3

  • Workhouse Arts Center W16, Muse Gallery Lorton United States (map)

Join us for a hands-on, interactive, art-translation workshop hosted by Prison Reimagined and Justice Arts Coalition's Isaac Scott. Participants will interpret and answer specific works of art from the PRP3 exhibition with their own original creations. Through a unique reimagining participants will forge new works of drawing, painting, poetry and more, which will be presented to the respective incarcerated PRP3 artists as a direct response to their work. This fun, interactive and introspective exercise will foster important conversations about the lived experience of incarceration, victimization, punishment, and criminal justice. These new works will help PRP3 artists, still behind bars, feel the affect and import of their work.

There is no cost to attend this workshop. Registration is appreciated.
